Two years removed from a successful rookie season with the Saanich Braves Wade Murphy has won the RBC Cup with the Penticton Vees, who beat the Woodstock Slammers 4-3 in a game which was aired on TSN. Murphy, who was coached by Brad Cook who was the Head Coach before an assistant coach stint with the Victoria Grizzlies, Cook won the Inaugural RBC cup with the Vernon Vipers in 1996. Murphy had a breakout this season starting off with the Grizzlies and finished off the season with the Vees notching 36 goals, 55 assists with a total of 91 points...

Wham, Bam Thank you Sam! The Braves and Panthers battled Monday night in the always important game 4. Story by Braves Jr. Reporter Mike Beelby - The Saanich Braves and the Peninsula Panthers fought it out for the series lead at 2-1 and the Braves pulled through with a 5-4 overtime win in Peninsula Friday night.
