Stewart (ISN) - If the Saanich Braves and Campbell River Storm had a point in the standings for every nasty word, threat, or barb that they threw at each other during their game Wednesday night, both teams would easily be leading their respective VIJHL Divisions. The Saanich Jr. Braves are hosting the 2012 VIJHL All-Star Classic this Sunday, January 15th at Pearkes Arena. Cougars Demolish Braves With Second Period Outburst

The last time the Victoria Cougars and Saanich Braves squared off, the Braves emerged with a 4-2 victory that pushed their win streak to seven and saw them go undefeated for the month of November. Braves Help Fill Grizzlies Roster

Three Braves players have gotten a call up over the last week to the Junior A Victoria Grizzlies. Defenseman Jaden Schmeisser has been a permanent fixture with the Griz the last 2 weeks, while 16 year old Shawn McBride and 17 Year old Connor Krupa both had games with the Grizzlies. The Braves play the Victoria Cougars this Friday night. This game should not be missed, as it is proving to be a rivalry worth following.

Friday Night is Mom's and "Billet Mom's" Appreciation Night

The Junior Brave's will be honouring their Mom's and Billet "Mom's" this Friday evening with a special Appreciation Night during the game against the Victoria Cougars.  All Mom's and Billet Moms are invited to attend the game wearing their player's jersey and be honoured by your son or billet between periods. There will also be a special VIP reception following the game where the Braves will share some Christmas cheer!  Dad's may attend too!  See you there!

Stewart (ISN) - There seems to be no stopping Saanich Brave Captain Ty Jones who once again had a multi-point game - four goals and an assist - to lead the Braves to a 5-3 victory over the Kerry Park Islanders in VIJHL action Friday night at Pearkes Arena in Saanich. Tyrrific!

Ty Jones was a human highlight reel last week as he played in two games, recorded nine points, and was the VIJHL Player Of The Week for the second time. On Friday night the Braves hosted the Comox Valley Glacier Kings and Jones led his team with three goals and two assists as they ran away with a 6-3 victory. With the win the Braves moved to within one point of second overall in the VIJHL.
