The Cougars snapped a five game losing skid with a 6-1 victory in Esquimalt Sunday night to narrow the Braves series lead to 2-1.

The Cougars opened the scoring on the first shift as Tom Kala was sent in alone and beating McGaw high over his glove.
The Braves thought they tied it up midway through the period after a scramble in front of the Cougars net, but there was no official near the net to award the Braves the goal.
The Cougars scored two more goals by Josh Wyatt and Jimmy Carter to take a 3-0 lead into the dressing room.
Anthony Hordyk made it 4-0 7:34 into the middle period after a shot went off his visor and he banged in the rebound.
56 seconds later the Braves scored their only goal after Trevor Yee found a loose puck in front of Max Pelzner and shot it in.
Wyatt scored his 2nd goal on the power play with 3:32 left in the 2nd to take the commanding 5-1 lead into the intermission.
33 seconds into the 3rd period Chris Savage ended Tanner McGaw's night early.
Ben Kantor came in and stopped all 12 shots he faced.
Game 4 is scheduled for 7:30pm Tuesday night at Pearkes Arena.
