Ty Jones was a human highlight reel last week as he played in two games, recorded nine points, and was the VIJHL Player Of The Week for the second time.
On Friday night the Braves hosted the Comox Valley Glacier Kings and Jones led his team with three goals and two assists as they ran away with a 6-3 victory. With the win the Braves moved to within one point of second overall in the VIJHL.
On Sunday the Braves travelled north to Campbell River and fell behind 3-0 early before Jones scored twice to get the game close. Then they fell behind 5-2, and again Jones set up 16 year old Jack Palmer twice to end it on the wrong side of a 5-4 game.
In his last nine games, Jones has scored an incredible 30 points. ( 14 goals, 16 assists, 6 pim's ) A large reason the Braves are a league leading 8-2 in their last ten games.
"He has been working his butt off," commented head coach Brad Cook, "such a smart, talented player."
Congrats Ty!
